NWIH is pleased to offer free shipping within the continental US on orders
over $70.00*. Alaska and Hawaii and US Providences will receive free shipping on orders over $150.00*.

All orders are pulled and processed for shipping within 24-48 hours of order confirmation.

*- Applies to all orders shipping via UPS Ground Service that do not exceed dimensional weight limits, and/or permissible size and weight limitations within SurePost®.
Packages tendered for UPS SurePost® service are subject to minimum and maximum size and weight 
UPS SurePost® packages must be at least four inches high, six inches long, and .75 inches thick, may not exceed 130 inches in 
length and girth combined, and no single dimension may exceed 60 inches in length.
The maximum weight of a UPS SurePost package is 70

*- Applies to all orders that meet Flat Rate shipping requirements of USPS.
* - Applies only to orders that meet or exceed the dollar amount constituting free shipping,
only after all discounts or coupons have 
been applied.
*- NWIH reserves the right to select the means of shipping and carrier based on the criteria of any given order.


Large orders are generally determined by any excess in size or weight of an item, or collective order size/weight; as described by UPS or USPS.

These orders will ship via out bound trucking companies.

NWIH will be happy to coordinate the shipment through one of our preferred carriers, or utilize one of your
preferred carriers to ensure the most efficient and safe means of travel.

NWIH will gladly refund your order or offer a store credit for any reason,
within 10 days of receipt of product, if the piece you receive is not as described*.
*- NWIH will guarantee your refund provided you notify us, by email, within the 10 day period upon receipt of item in question.
A picture showing the defect/damage and/or reason your satisfaction was not met is required.
Send email with pictures to [email protected] to obtain your RA # and return shipping label.
The item will not be refunded if it has been cut, turned or modified in any way (unless the issue was internal and not visible otherwise).
Customer is responsible for the return shipping unless it's determined the reason for the return is due to a NWIH oversight.


Once you have purchased your wood, consider how the unique environment of your shop will
factor into your project. Your shop's humidity level will be different than ours, unless you're a local to the Portland, OR area.

This consideration of climate variance generally reduces issues with wood movement based on the
differences in humidity between our shop and yours. Though our wood is kiln dried to 6%-8%,
ambient air moisture content (MC) and time can increase that number marginally. To minimize chances
that kiln-dried stock will pick up moisture after it leaves our shop, keep the wood inside in a
dry, perfectly flat area for minimum of 5 days if the piece is of any size and thickness.
Depending on where your shop is located, and the particular wood being purchased, chances
are your piece will arrive with a MC higher than 8%; due to our region's ambient air moisture and humidity level.
However, keeping in mind what’s mentioned above will ensure proper acclimation to your
environment and give you the necessary high quality, stable wood to meet your project's needs.
