Description

Maple burl medium turning squares are extremely figured. Often displaying both the “flame cut” side and the “bird’s eye” cut side of the burl. Beautiful muscling character can also be woven throughout. Maple burl medium turning squares are offered in two square sizes:

1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ x 6″ and 2″ x 2″ x 6 1/4″

These dry, multi-purposed blocks are great for knife handle material, pistol grips, game calls, tap handles and so much more. Like all burl, bark inclusions are common; especially in big leaf maple. These natural imperfections give unique character and are often used mineral inlay or colored epoxies or dyed resins.
