Beautiful stabilized western maple burl knife blank 20 with incredible color and character. This blank has been fully stabilized with clear acrylic resin making it extremely solid and sound. It has great depth of tight burl figure and a color that ranges from a chocolate-brown to a lighter tan, highlighted with black-line spalting. With its unique beauty and characteristics, this blank makes our Imperial grade and is sure to impress. This blank is free from any noticeable defect. Few minor natural imperfections are often present and seen as the blank is surfaced. Bark inclusions and natural defects are inherent with all burl, and maple is no exception. These natural imperfections are great for mineral inlay/color epoxies, as fillers, and can also enhance the final book match pattern of the scaled pieces.
